With a background in classical music from a BMus at the UofA, she discovered jazz when she began attending the Yardbird Suite’s Tuesday night jams in 1993, becoming a volunteer, a jazz lover and a jam participant. She now performs regularly with the Gadjo Collective at music festivals around Western Canada and in Los Gadjitos world music fusion trio. It’s a thrill for her to be bringing this quintet to the Yardbird stage, featuring surprise guest percussionists!
Our live Tuesday Jam is hosted by a musician and a band while audience members join in on the fun by jamming along on stage.
Musicians who want to participate in the Jam can purchase a “Jam Participant” ticket at a reduced cost.
All Jam Participants need to register at the door upon entry to the event.
