Tuesday Jam Hosted by Jacob Rabuka

Jacob Rabuka is an up-and-coming Edmonton-based saxophonist, composer, and educator.

  • February 13, 2024
    8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Having recently graduated from MacEwan University’s Bachelor of Music program, Jacob’s music is firmly founded on the jazz tradition, with many additional inspirations pulling from genres such as classical, fusion, and R&B music. Jacob aims to model his sound after great saxophonists such as Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Joshua Redman, Bob Reynolds, Chris Potter, and numerous others. He is currently focusing on honing his skills as a performer and multi-instrumentalist while diving into the world of composition with a variety of new original songs and arrangements. He can also be found playing with a number of local bands, such as the alt-pop band “SOUR” and metal-jazz band “Amero.”
