As a child, Angela’s musical tastes ranged from Britney Spears to Metallica and beyond. As a teen, she settled on the bass as her primary instrument after attending a Kool & The Gang concert and experiencing what she calls a “funk awakening.” Today, Angela has hundreds of performances and recordings under her belt, exemplifying that her bass expertise ranges from the stage to the studio. She is the co-founder and co-leader of the band Mercy Funk, and often accompanies dozens of artists in a wide variety of genres as a freelance musician. Angela is eager to open up the Yardbird Jam on March 17th with some tunes that are heavy on the low end.
Our live Tuesday Jam is hosted by a musician and a band while audience members join in on the fun by jamming along on stage.
Musicians who want to participate in the Jam can purchase a “Jam Participant” ticket at a reduced cost.
All Jam Participants need to register at the door upon entry to the event.
