The New Standards Jazz Orchestra (NSJO) is a newly formed, contemporary large ensemble based in Edmonton, emerging from the New Standards community. For its debut performance, NSJO presents a set of original compositions written by members of the ensemble, rooted in the jazz big band tradition while drawing influence from hip-hop, electronic music, and contemporary pop. This project marks the first step in a longer-term vision to reimagine what a big band can be—eventually incorporating expanded instrumentation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and performances in both traditional and non-traditional spaces—while contributing to a vibrant, forward-looking music ecosystem in Edmonton.
Our live Tuesday Jam is hosted by a musician and a band while audience members join in on the fun by jamming along on stage.

Musicians who want to participate in the Jam can purchase a “Jam Participant” ticket at a reduced cost.

All Jam Participants need to register at the door upon entry to the event.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
