Tuesday Jam Hosted by Ian Maxwell

His compositions are heavily influenced by a wide variety of genres such as jazz, classical, latin, drum and bass, and electronic house music. Constantly evolving, his music combines new and exciting fusions of his classical background and contemporary studies. Currently undertaking his Bachelor of Music at MacEwan University, he has had the opportunity to study with incredible musicians such as Kent Sangster and Mark Segger. Ian has been an active member within the Edmonton jazz community as of the last few years. With recent performances at the Carrot Cafe in 2023 with his Spare-Rib Trio, the Terwillegar Farmers Market, and the Fringe Festival in 2024.

Ian is currently recording his first album with all original compositions featuring Byrne McMullen, Robert Allen, and Braeden Detert.

Our live Tuesday Jam is hosted by a musician and a band while audience members join in on the fun by jamming along on stage.

Musicians who want to participate in the Jam can purchase a “Jam Participant” ticket at a reduced cost.

All Jam Participants need to register at the door upon entry to the event.
