Sylvain Cossette Quintet plays Second Cycle

The show will feature the nine titles of this new opus highlighting its various jazz influences while offering sustained improvisations.

Each of the compositions of the Second cycle compositions has a title which is completed by a brief description allowing the viewer to place it in its context of creation, proposing a mental image evoking states of mind, the seasons or even the emotions associated with the composition process. An intimate journey (a cycle) into the composer’s music.

The five musicians of Sylvain Cossette’s jazz ensemble are present on both the jazz and popular music scenes, and their works can be heard in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the United States and Europe. Gathered around guitarist and composer Sylvain Cossette, Alexandre Côté, Bruno Lamarche, Sébastien Pellerin and Alain Bourgeois each bring their personal baggage during various explorations, in a spirit of free and open collective creation.
