Led by long-time collaborators Ryan Simmons and Tony Flanagan, Reflections is the result of the two’s desire to explore modern jazz through the lens of original compositions and free music.

Inspired both by jazz musicians such as Edward Simon, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Brian Blade as well as soundscape artists such as Lush, Radiohead and Beach House, the duo seeks to create a unique sound informed by both styles. Their inaugural show will feature their original compositions as well as jazz standards, elevated by the participation of veteran Edmonton musicians Kent Sangster, Chris Andrew, and Andreas Wegner.
