Littlebirds Jazz Combos

This concert shines a spotlight on original compositions and student arrangements, offering a rare opportunity to hear young musicians not only perform, but speak in their own musical voices. Drawing on the rich traditions of jazz while pushing toward something personal and new, these ensembles reflect the heart of the Littlebirds program—where developing artists are encouraged to compose, arrange, and explore their own musical ideas.

From inventive reharmonizations to entirely original works, the program promises a wide-ranging and engaging night of music shaped by the creativity of the performers themselves. Each piece represents not just technical growth, but artistic identity in motion.

The Littlebirds program, long recognized as one of Canada’s leading youth jazz initiatives, brings together dedicated young musicians in an environment that emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and high-level performance.

Join us for an inspiring evening where the next generation of jazz artists steps forward—not just as performers, but as composers and creators.
