A beloved presence in the city’s live music scene, she illuminates venues such as the Yardbird Suite, Jazz Alley, and community and private events with performances that feel both intimate and timeless. Her debut album, Dreamer’s Lounge (2016), revealed her gift for expressive phrasing and soulful storytelling. Surrounded by bandmates whose musicianship enriches and completes the musical picture, Leesila’s performances become richly layered conversations in sound. Offstage, she is a devoted music educator who inspires connection and joy through music.
