Jay Gilday

In the interest of exploring his connection with jazz as a person of Dene and Irish descent, this performance of Jay Gilday’s works will range from the exploratory folk music Jay is known for to the pure jazz he has always been inspired to play on piano and voice but has almost never chosen to make public.

  • September 30, 2023
    8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Jay will be joined by the multi-talented Jeremiah McDade of the award winning McDades folk ensemble on horns and flutes.   Thom Golub on the upright bass and Matt Blackie on percussion, both of which joined Jay on his only recorded jazz release, the single “Thoughts of Snow” from 2021.
