Throughout the years, Butcher’s compositions derived from traditional and modern Jazz style, but over the course of the past couple years he has begun exploring Neo-soul and Hip-Hop combined with elements of electronica rooted in Jazz improvisation. This music is influenced by Rob Araujo and Paul Castelluzzo amongst others. This has been a year focused around finding that creative spark and exploring different sounds without being tied down to any past boundaries. Gus is excited to bring his quartet to the Yarbird Suite to share this music with you. Please join me and sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
