Eric Doucet, Piano

Eric Doucet is a professional musician based in Edmonton, Alberta. Following a lifelong passion, he graduated from MacEwan University’s Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music in 2016 as a Piano/Keyboard Performance Major. He is often seen and heard on stages around Edmonton and beyond performing with various groups. Eric is the keyboardist in funk-soul band Carter & the Capitals as well as founder and co-leader of experimental band High Tides, founder and musical director of francophone cover band Franco-Party, and keyboardist in jazz-metal band Red Litmus. Eric is also heard on many recent recordings by local artists such as the Dylan Farrell Band, Raygun Cowboys, and Paul Cournoyer. He is just as active in French, English or instrumental music, which affords him the opportunity to play in an impressive breadth of styles. Eric has performed across Canada, the USA, and France, sharing the stage with many world-renowned artists, including Simple Plan, Village People, Chantal Kreviazuk, The Strumbellas, Ghost-Note, and the Donny McCaslin Group. In addition, Eric is the Song/Music representative and Treasurer on the board of the Regroupement artistique francophone de l’Alberta (RAFA).
