    8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Growing up, Mitchell always enjoyed listening to the classic rock sounds of Led Zeppelin, Cream, Pink Floyd and Rush. His first instrument was the piano, before graduating to play the drums and eventually the saxophone after being inspired by the aforementioned bands.

Mitchell attended Central Memorial High School, where he was torn between his love of the drums and saxophone, ultimately deciding to pursue the saxophone professionally. Mitchell took a year of lessons with Pat Belliveau at Ambrose University before transferring to MacEwan University to finish his degree.

Mitchell’s musical influences include his idols, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane and Micheal Brecker.
