    8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Rooster Davis, a.k.a. David Aide, has been studying the Hammond organ in depth with the great Hammond master, Tony Monaco, out of Columbus, OH, for several years now. Tony studied under the likes of Jimmy Smith and Dr. Lonnie Smith, as well as working and recording with the great Joey DeFrancesco.

With Tony, Rooster has been working on the classic Blues/Jazz approach to the hammond most associated with players like Jimmy Smith. The repertoire of the Dyrty Byrds draws primarily from the great organ players of the 60’s-70’s such as; Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, Booker T, and Groove Holmes. The music draws from some of
the most iconic tunes any Hammond organ fan with recognize, like The Cat, All About My Girl, and Hip-Hug-Her, as well as a few of Dyrty Byrds’ tunes they have written since forming in 2020.
