Dana Anderson is a saxophonist, composer, and arranger based in Edmonton, Alberta.

Earning her Bachelor of Music degree from MacEwan University in 2020, Dana held a four year tenure as the lead alto player of the MacEwan Big Band I and has since been a regular member of various Yardbird Suite Jazz Orchestras as well as the MacEwan Faculty, Student and Alumni Big Band. In her time with those groups, she has had the chance to work with acclaimed artists such as Wayne Bergeron, Maria Schneider, and Jim Walker. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of styles and artists including Branford Marsalis, Kenny Garrett, and Jacob Collier, Dana aims to capture emotion and turn it into sound as a way to connect with listeners on an interpersonal level.
