With a background in jazz and contemporary music from MacEwan University and the University of Toronto, he blends comprehensive musical study with a feel-first approach that suits everything from straight-ahead jazz to funk, ska, and latin styles.
He’s a core member of groups like King Muskafa, Funk the Matriarchy, The Canadian Ska Orchestra, and Cristian De La Luna’s band, bringing energy and cohesion to every set.
The Illustrator Sextet blends classic and contemporary influences with a focus on groove. Rooted in jazz but drawing from funk, soul, Latin and modern rhythm-based styles, the group delivers dynamic, genre-fluid sets that balance improvisation with strong melodic and rhythmic foundations.

Parking is available in the City of Edmonton lot just outside our doors. $6 maximum from 5pm to 2am or $2.50 per hour.
Tickets will also be available at the door if not previously sold out online. Doors open at 7pm. Music starts at 8pm.

Yardbird Suite has cabaret seating: seats are available first-come, first-served. Please be aware that a couple seated at a table for four may be sharing the table with new friends if the performance is busy.
