Jeff was born and raised in Edmonton, where he began his undergraduate work at Grant MacEwan University, before completing his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in music at the University of North Texas.
Heralded for his “considerable chops” (Jazz Times Magazine) and “a creative spark that never lets up,” (Rochester City Paper) saxophonist, composer and educator Jeff Antoniuk is all about creating and expanding musical connections, be it with with his bandmates, his audiences, or his global followers. An engaging and inspirational educator, his Digging Deeper Jazz YouTube videos and podcasts have been viewed well over three million times.
An Eastman Saxophones and Rovner Artist, Jeff has received numerous awards and commissions, and has produced over 10 critically acclaimed albums in recent years. He has performed or recorded with the likes of Jimmy Haslip, Marcus Miller, Ingrid Jensen, Najee, Kenny Werner and Helen Sung.
Jeff is the Founder and Artistic Director of www.JazzWire.net, an industry leading education platform dedicated to connecting and inspiring adult amateur and semi-pro musicians from over 25 countries. Jeff lives in Annapolis, MD, and just celebrated the 20th anniversary of the JazzWire Summer Summit, a jazz camp for adults attended by over 1,000 people from across North America and the globe.
