Gift of Jazz: Leesila Dawkins Live at the Yardbird Suite
Value: $60
Give the gift of jazz with two tickets to an unforgettable night at the Yardbird Suite on Saturday, January 10th. (Doors open at 7:00 PM for best seating; performance runs 8:00–10:30 PM.)
Ticket value: $30 each.
The evening features Edmonton’s own Leesila Dawkins, a jazz vocalist celebrated for her smooth, sultry tone and the gentle warmth she brings to every performance. Her debut album, Dreamer’s Lounge (2016), showcased her expressive phrasing and soulful storytelling—qualities that continue to captivate audiences and draw listeners into her musical world.
Onstage, Leesila is surrounded by a stellar ensemble whose artistry enriches every moment: Gareth Gilliland (guitar), Dan Sabo (piano), Kessler Douglas (bass), Joel Jeschke (drums), and Jacob Do (saxophone), with special guest Titilope Sonuga delivering powerful spoken word. Together, they create performances that feel like richly layered conversations—intimate, dynamic, and deeply human.
Offstage, Leesila is a devoted music educator, inspiring connection, confidence, and joy through the art of making music.
A beautiful gift for anyone who loves soulful vocals, masterful musicianship, and the magic of live jazz in one of Edmonton’s most beloved listening rooms.
