Original Acrylic Painting (16×20)

The surface is alive with gold, silver, and bronze accents, subtle patterns, and intricate details that reveal themselves slowly—like hidden treasures waiting to be found. As light shifts throughout the day, it dances across the canvas, transforming the painting from moment to moment. A piece that seems to breathe, it asks you to linger, to look again, to discover something new each time you pass by.

“All the colors, when layered just right, become a painting that feels like candy.”

Leah Wilson, a beloved Edmonton artist, is known for her colour field abstracts and vibrant impressionistic landscapes—works filled with motion, light, and a sense of adventure. Her “color field abstract” style embraces bold, rule-breaking combinations: cool tones pressed against hot ones, creating optical vibrations and what she affectionately calls “jiggling bits” of colour. Influenced by particle theory and the science of movement, her paintings often evoke a stained-glass effect and a subtle sense of motion.

With more than 30 years of experience as a semi-professional fine artist, Leah’s work has appeared everywhere from downtown towers to cozy neighbourhood cafés. “Brilliant Dawn” is a radiant, joyful piece—perfect for brightening any space and adding a touch of contemporary charm.
Size: 16×20 inches, unframed.

“I feel success with a painting when a person slowly gets closer, as if in a trance.”
